EAST LANSING HOT YOGA offers a series of hatha yoga postures along with a vinyasa flow and pranayama breathing exercises designed to provide a challenging, invigorating, rejuvenating, and effective yoga experience.

During our sixty and ninety minute classes, you will work every muscle, tendon, ligament, joint, and internal organ in the body, giving you an incredible sense of radiant health and well-being.
Conducted in a heated room, our yoga detoxifies the body through perspiration, tones the muscles, and flushes every cell and organ.

Whatever your age, injury, or prior yoga experience (if any), this yoga will benefit your body and mind in ways you never imagined possible.

As we go into our second year, we've made a few client inspired changes:

All classes on Wednesdays will be sixty minutes long!
More one hour classes has been our most oft requested schedule tweak, so "One Hour Wednesdays" has arrived.

OnThursdays at 8pm, Ania teaches "Hot Ballroom."
This is a mix of yoga and dance done in a hot room, no experience or partner necessary.

Beginning the week of February 18th, we are adding two more $5 classes!! Saturday mornings from 8am to 9:30am we will be offering our traditional hot yoga class for only $5 and on Sunday nights we will have a one hour "teachers choice" $5 class from 8-9pm.

Here are some other highlights of our regular schedule:

Every 6:00pm class and the Thursday noon one hour class are called "kick your asana!"

As you can imagine, it is a consistently challenging class, and you're welcome to tell the teacher to ramp it up a bit if you think she's picking daisies rather than training future Olympic gold in the newly designated yoga category! (you may want to bring an extra towel, and please come well hydrated and have at least a quart sized bottle of water).

As always, beginners are welcome...but if you're coming in after a long spell of couch surfing, you might want to bring a pillow and enjoy an 85 minute nap your first couple(few) 6:00pm's!

We also have a few "warming up to hot yoga" true beginner classes.

If you're new or fairly new to yoga, are nervous about the heat, and maybe a little bit out of shape....or if you've done yoga a million times, are training for a triathlon, and really just want some gentle stretching without much sweat, this is the class for you.

The Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday one hour classes, and the Saturday noon 'women's only' ninety minute class, are "warming up to hot yoga" classes.

And everything else? Well, they're somewhere between these two poles. Depending on the teacher, the makeup of students in the room, and the phase of the moon, you might get some hot "chill" yoga, or "let's focus on abs" yoga, or "let's pretend it's 6pm" yoga.

Just always remember, darlings...

*It's your practice

*Stay in your body
*Slow deep breathing-
If you lose your breath, back off
